Diamond Tool USA Polycrystalline Diamonds (PCD) are produced on a cemented carbide substrate utilizing our propitiatory cobalt sintering process.  The cobalt from the cemented carbide substrate infiltrates through layers of micron synthetic diamond powder, causing grains to grow together.  As a result, residual cobalt provides significant toughening & material electrically conductive.  As such, PCD may be electric-discharge machined – a critical attribute for the hardest known material. The integrally bonded carbide substrate also renders the composite brazeable with the PCD material only located where it is used for cutting resulting in a stronger & harder bonded diamond tool.
